Admit it–we’ve all wanted to stumble upon Platform 9 3/4.
Look no further! Square #2 of our Harry Potter CAL is none other than our beloved gateway to the wizarding world.
This square is much simpler than the first (partly due to a massive decrease in size and fewer color changes), and it works up pretty quick.
You can download the PDF for square #2 here!
The PDF contains graphs (with arrows!) and written instructions for the square. The square is designed to be worked from the lower right-hand corner up to the upper left-hand corner.
Up next is something quick, shiny, and simply wonderful: the golden snitch! Square #3 will be available next Friday, January 15th.
So grab your trolley (and your hook!) and head straight for the barrier between platforms 9 and 10!
I know your Harry Potter squares have already been chosen; but I think a Snape alternative square is needed now. I’m so so sad…I loved Alan Rickman 🙁
Agreed. I’m working on a couple right now. We all loved him!
Thank you so much for sharing these patterns. I have just finished the main centre piece and now moving onto these smaller squares, would you recommend running a slip stitch or single crochet all the way around each piece?
I would recommend a sc border around each square to get them ready for joining later on!
I just finished the 9 3/4 square. It turned out huge. What size should these squares be when done? What size is the completed project after all the squares are joined together?
If I remember correctly, they were about 14″x14″ using the mini c2c stitch and a size I9 hook. I don’t recall the finished size of the whole thing. 🙁
