Do you love Doctor Who AND crochet? Want to join a Whovian CAL? Then look no further!
Though we are more than halfway through the CAL, you can still join us! This CAL consists of 9 Doctor Who-themed squares worked in the C2C (corner to corner) crochet method. If you need a little help with the C2C method, check out this video from the Crochet Crowd! As an example, I also made a video showing how I make my color changes and how I carry my yarn, which you can find here.
You can view my yarn yardage estimates (as well as color suggestions in both Vanna’s Choice and Red Heart Super Saver yarns) here!
Squares #1-7 are available here and come with a PDF pattern packet that includes two versions of the graph (one smaller, one larger) and written instructions, all of which have been designed for right-handed crocheters (since I crochet right-handed). If you’re a leftie, you can work in the opposite direction of the arrows on the graph or work each row of the written instructions backwards to get the same effect.
Note: Both the graph and the written instructions are designed so that you are working from the bottom right of the square and up. When in doubt, follow the arrows!
You can also join our fantastic Whovian CAL Facebook group! We’ve got over 800 Whovians who love to crochet, and there’s always helpful posts floating about!
So, ready for a Whovian CAL? Allons-y!
